achenry Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I am delighted with this 3 year old, but new to me, C5 Estate. It is supremely comfortable and practical. I have always wanted a big Citroen since being in a DS in Paris in the 1950s and this does not disappoint. My wife would not contemplate a Citroen as she was once sick in one as a child. However she was persuaded to have a test drive in this C5 and she was instantly converted and is as happy as I am. I notice that a common criticism of the C5 1.6 Hdi on this forum is that the 1.6 is underpowered. Well I beg to differ, while it is no racer away from the lights, it has plenty power for practical everyday driving, and it appears to me to run on fresh air as far as consumption is concerned. If you want one, go get one now! :) Quote
Parkesie Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Welcome. Good choice of car. The 1.6 is a good little motor as you say its not going to win any traffic light races. Be sure to keep ontop of the oil, filters and the turbo oil feed pipe gauze at service time. Id be tempted to do them straight away just for peace of mind. Quote
