wozza Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 File sizes are rather large .5mb each so may take some time to load on slower connections. Mike5483 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Maybe should be a bit furthur south next time. Manchester is about a 4 hr drive from me!!! Looks like you had a ood time. Certainly some nice shiny metal there. Quote

Unless of course it comes standard on the exclusive / VTS then its fairly easy to tell by the fact theres only 2 cars there with xenon lights. Quote

Certainly some nice shiny metal there. we did have a chat about having a more "southern" meet...I reckon get the crappy winter months out of the way and have an early spring meet somewhere closer to the Watford Gap :P Quote
wozza Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 Yup have to find something to do other than a pub meet next time though although i did quite enjoy sunday clios were deffinately the most fun to watch. Quote
Fizzo17 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I was sorry I could not get to the meet, but now I've seen the photos I am glad my dirty black VTR+ wasn't put to shame with all that shiny paintwork :P Quote
wozza Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 Shame we didnt have anymore people although the 5 cars got a couple comments anyway and they seemed to get some attention. Im loving how bright my red looks in the 2nd from last picture though. Did find out we missed a couple things on sunday at donny. they had the F1 car "singing" god save the queen and we are the champions. Couple videos up on youtube at other places of it doing the same thing. Found this one of God Save The Queen. Quote

But I think you are going to tell me, that it is a front parking sensor? Quote
Mike5483 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I must say I think that 2nd pic of all the fronts is pukka. Who took the pics and what camera??? Quote
lee_marshuk Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 @c4vts...that is indeed a parking sensor mate, the LDWS sensors are under the car...... Quote
wozza Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 Stuey took the photos. And i know the camera is a canon 350D but apart from that dont know what lenses he used etc. Pictures look great though and its made me want a 350D myself even more now. Quote

ham's c4vts Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Nice to of met you Wozza on Sunday, i'll try to make next meet.superb photos stu, but the red C4 next to dave and trace's car neeeeeeeds a spoiler :P Quote
Stuey Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 all coupes need to have the spoiler!! no denying that really... @Mike, the camera is indeed a Canon 350D with a Sigma DG gold series 300mm lens on it. its a cool lens but I was standing at the other side of the car park as the focal range is very long before I started playing with the zoom. I will send the pictures from Donni to Wozza as soon as I get them off the camera and have cleaned them up as I will be selling some of them and it was the first time I used that lens so some of the shots arent quite in focus :P Quote
Mike5483 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Can you alter the 'focus' using computer software then??? My dad has a 350D. Hes actually on his 2nd cause his first one got knicked. I think its a great piece of kit. I myself have a Sony Cybershot DSC-R1. Its a 'Pro-sumer' camera. You cant change the lens, but its got a 24mm - 120mm Carl Ziess lens attached. You can buy some lens adapters to make it do different things, but they are very expensive. The best bit though is the 10.3Mp CMOS sensor. Takes massively detailed pictures with great vivid colours. Stuey Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 yeah you can rescue some out of focues shots using the wonders of Photoshop CS... Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 yeah you can rescue some out of focues shots using the wonders of Photoshop CS... but not too much!best to get it right in-camera i say! and i grew up with the technology! :P my camera is 99% on "manual", If there is any error, it is my fault not the cameras! Quote
wozza Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 You can do a hell of a lot in photoshop if you know what your doing. Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 yes, but you cant do a great deal in terms of focusing something that is out of focus, it is mainly to sharpen up parts that are not as sharp as they could be. Very easy to "un-focus" the image though! :P Quote
Stuey Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 You can do a hell of a lot in photoshop if you know what your doing. and I do B) seriuosly though there is only so much you can save in Photoshop. The CS version that I have (pro level one) has a lot more toys to play with so you can do more. it was my first time out with that lens so it took a bit of getting used to, it always takes time to get used to a new lens properly. Most of the pics are fine but thwere are a couple that need sharpening up. Quote
