Just acquired car and I'm not familiar with the water and Oil Temp display as to what is 'Normal' when engine has reached operating temperature. The Owners handbook talks about 'Normal' temperature for both being within 'Zone A' which seems to be displaying [][][][][] (5 bars) for both Oil & Water. My car is displaying [][][][][][][] (7 bars) when it has reached operating temperature (when I have driven about 5 miles). Should I be at all concerned? The car has done 66,000 miles overall BTW.

On my 2008 2.0 Hdi exclusive, it sits around six or seven bars when warmed up. I've had this car for a year now, and it's always been the same, so I would say it was normal.

Thanks andymarve ...that sounds good and reassuring...the oil temp on my old (2004) C5 was shown on a dial (rather than illuminated blocks on this model) and it only ever moved up by about 4  or 5 millimetres whereas the water temp dial went up to about half way...so just wanted to check in view of what the manual indicated.
