Hello - I have a C5 (2010) 3.0 litre HDi and have succesfully converted the Daylight running lights to LED bulbs. Recently one of my tailight  (the one fitted in the boot lid) failed and I replaced the two with LED's, they are working well. I then thought I might as well replace the two outer P21/5W stop tail bulbs (located in the rear light clusters) with their LED equivalent. When fitted the tail lights flickered on and off rapidly and I have been told that this is due to the onboard computer checking and finding lower resistance in the circuit. A LED bulb dealer has told me that I would need to  place resistoers in parrallel with the bulb filament to 'correct' the resistance and 'fool' the computer into recognising the resitance of a tungsten bulb. The problem is that each of the P21/5W bulbs would require two ceramic resistors to complete the job and I am not sure that there would be room to house them between the rear light clusters and the metal bulkhead. An alternative solution that has been suggested is to disable the resistance check in the vehicle software; is anyone aware of this solution and how to accomplish it? I suppose I could just stick with the original bulbs but do like the idea of fitting almost everlasting LED's

I have tried some more expensive 'canbus' P21/5w LED's. This time they came on for about 30 seconds and then went out, has anyone found LED stop/tail light bulbs that will work with a 2010 C5? On a positive note I replaced the front side light bulbs with LED's and these are working well
