jizzus93 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Hi. I own a Citroen C5 HDI 2002 110HP. I bought it about 4 months ago and the problem is whenever I downshift from let's say 4th to 3rd to overtake the turbo only responds at around 3000 to 4000 RPM but on a gradual aceleration 1st gear 2nd 3rd etc you can always feel the turbo starting to push the car faster at 2000RPM. This has put me in a couple of awkward situations like there's a car on the opposite lane and I'm about to overtake someone(I have more than enough room to do it without any danger) but then suddenly when I put in 3rd to overtake the turbo won't respond it will just accelerate like it has no turbo and I end up having to brake and get back to my lane.Thank you in advance for any help you could give me P.S: I'm about to go take a look at the MAF sensor to see if it could be causing this problem Quote
jizzus93 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 After taking a good look at the MAF sensor and unplugging it and trying to downshift and quickly accelerate a few times it doesn't seem to be the source of the problem. Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Quote
qman3428 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Check the fuel filter as this could be fuel starvation under demand. Quote
