Hi

Does anyone know if it's possible to use the emergency system on the older C5's(Mk2 facelift hatchback)?

My 2006 car has the radio /sat nav system with SOS button (and the chevron for breakdown), but a browse around the menu reveals it is "deactivated".

I think the system only went live in the UK some years after the Mk 3 was launched, but should now be accessible to older cars with the emergency buttons?

only on exclusive mk3's I think - there would be an sos button beside the radio

It's a sim-free, free service which calls the cavalry if you end up in a ditch (activated by any airbag) or you can push the button to call for help if you are taken ill.

Chevron button will call citroen assist for breakdown , but that's an expensive subscription
