Ciaran2903 Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Basically i have condesation in the light housings, i manged to get rid of it by putting the brights of for 1/2 an hour. But it has come back. Is this normal for cars? or (as i suspect) the fact that i have just had all my lights upgraded and moisture got in their? Thanks Quote
C4VTS Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 My Audi used to get condensation in the headlights overnight in winter. Maybe it is caused by a bad seal ? Not noticed any problem with my C4 xenons yet, but with the colder weather approaching I will keep an eye on it. Quote
citroeneddie Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Had the rear high level brake light on my C5 replaced under warranty due to condensation in. Would yours be claimable? Quote
C4VTS Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 It might be worth putting the standard bulbs back in to see if that makes any difference, and would also be necessary if you were to try and claim warranty. I expect a dealer would want to see the condensation in the lights as proof of a possible defect, just the same as when my rear view mirror droops only when parked in very hot sun. Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 I could have kept goldfish in one of my rear lights. Dealer replaced the entire assembly Quote
