Stuey Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 family comes first...we all understand... So shall we have a roll call to see who is going and up what roads to see if we can meet somewhere?? Stuey, M1 south from junction 25 then M42... Quote
wozza Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 be going via the M1 as well not checked the route down there would have just stuck it in the sat nav. Quote
Stuey Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 I reckon Donnington Services would be a good place to meet or M42. The M42 services are crap though... Quote
wozza Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Lee was interested in coming as well but do not think he has been on for a couple days since he ha not replied to my PM. But whatever sounds fine to me you know that area better than I do. Quote
lee_marshuk Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Hiya, Yes been offline for a few days been in London. I have matched Wozza's tickets (Sunday, 11, Premium). Doesn't matter for me where we meet; its only just down the road. We could meet for lunch or something at one of Birminghams pubs? Quote
wozza Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Alright then sounds good to me. Can meet up wherever just did a route planner for it looks like going down the M6 for me is the quickest then onto the M42. Quote
C4VTS Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I have just got my ticket for sunday at 11am. I am coming from M42 south. There is a pub called the Little Owl near the NEC which has a car park we could meet in? It is next to the Holiday Inn hotel. http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/925/en...direction/bhxec Any other Ideas? Quote
wozza Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 As I said im not fussed where we meet. As long as I have a street name its not too difficult to find more C4's. Quote
Stuey Posted October 25, 2006 Author Posted October 25, 2006 that hotel looks ok. Or M42 services. I think where all coming the same way so the services might be easier... Quote
wozza Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Ticket for this arrived today. So we got a final count of people and where were gonna meet etc etc? Quote
Stuey Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 Stueeeeeeey!!!! I reckon M42 services at 9:30am Quote
C4VTS Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Stueeeeeeey!!!! I reckon M42 services at 9:30am Which M42 services? Can I get there from down south ? Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 sorry I thought you where on the M42 southbound not coming from the south. How about you meet Wozza at the hotel/pub as he is sat nav'ed up and then meet me and lee in the arena...Wozza has my number so give me a call and we can meet after the live show. Quote
C4VTS Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 No problem. The pub is on Bickenhill Parkway dual carriageway next door to the hotel, and has a separate car park entrance about where the red star is on the map previously posted. I will leave wozza my mobile number via PM. Can meet wozza there at 10am if that is ok? Don't forget the clocks go back 1 hour on Sunday morning. Quote
wozza Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Sounds fine to me will give either you or Lee a ring tomorrow after the show so can meet up etc. And should not be much of an issue getting down there for 10 tomorrow. Replied to your pm anyway so you have my number now so if your not gonna make it there on time etc just let me know. Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 when we have finished walking around we can use lee's local knowledge and go and find a pub and have a chat... Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 I will get Wozza to post many pics for you... Quote
wozza Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Sure we will have a good day and hope Dan is alright. And will post pics. Although im still waiting on the donnington pictures :-P Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 Although im still waiting on the donnington pictures :-P subtle...like half a house brick through a window Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Or, as my dad says: "subtle as a poke in the arse with a barge pole!" <_< :D :P :D Quote
wozza Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 <_< Thought you might appreciate the subtlety of that comment. Quote
wozza Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Well i had a pretty good time today dunno about the rest of you. Theater show was a laugh anyway. However I now need! A Roush Mustang in white. Think seeing it there made up my mind for me properly which car i wanted next as i got to see all the others on my short list non of them really appealed to me like the stang did. Quote
C4VTS Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Yes, I also enjoyed the day at MPH06, including meeting some of you guys for the first time. The live show was great and especially the 3D effects. Also was great to see some exotic cars close up, and they do look so much better than on the tv. Quote
wozza Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Yeah and smaller lol. The GT40 looks tiny and so does the Ferrari Enzo. The koenigsegg CCX sounded absolutely mental in that show though. Reminded me of a big block yank engine but on steroids. And 3d effects were cool also bloody funny when the missiles come flying at you when you have an 8yr old kid next to you who is shitting himself and jumping out his seat every time the cannon or the missiles went off and then saying he didn't like it. Its mean but i was pissing myself laughing at this poor kid. Quote
