C4VTS Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Not for me it isnt. There is writing all over the Search button. That's because you are using Firefox browser I guess? I used to be a dedicated Firefox user, but am now using MS IE7 RC1. Firefox was giving me so many problems, and has some serious security flaws, that I decided to give the new IE7 a chance, and never looked back since. Quote
wozza Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Firefox has to be patched just like IE the only difference is firefox does it more often and it really is leagues ahead of IE in security use. That includes IE7 which isnt so much a new program than just an update ot the core IE code. So all the same security bugs are still in there. Firefox is a little better due to open source nature of the code in that anyone can patch the bug up which is why if you want very very upto date versions you can get a new one daily. Mix that with the Fact IE cant display embedded PNG graphics. And also does not comform to proper internet standards which is why a lot of sites look garbled in firefox and other browsers as they have been coded incorrectly. Allows too much functionality to be integrated from the OS into itself aswell its not particularly good. (god im such a geek) Im just gonna put it down to studying computers and software etc at uni for 3 years. But not much on the site really. Quote
C4VTS Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 What do you think of the bodystyling kit? http://dws.keycast.com/Media/Libraries/864/1/R1857_w780_x_h585_6b9e0cfd-6e71-4c83-a6ab-e79fcae73a59.jpg Quote
wozza Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Not a fan. Think best way to make the C4 look good is pump the arches out a bit more. Wider arches. Fatter bumper not exactly different from standard just fattened out a bit to line up with the wider arches and wider rear end. Rear bumper not sure about though. I quite like this front lip though. Just dont like the way it blends into the arches. I'd need to design my own kit if i wanted one lol. Nothign on the market appeals to me completely. http://www.musketier.de/assets/images/C4-11.jpg Quote

wozza Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I like it the way it is now not into bodykits etc for a lot of cars prefer small subtle modifcations. Not really the burberry wearing kind of person that wants every bit of ripspeed gear in halfords. Quote
C4VTS Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Also insurance companies do not like mods, and even something like adding a rear spoiler would add the cost of the spoiler to the premium. I think they would just not pay out to repair non standard addons unless disclosed. Quote
wozza Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Also insurance companies do not like mods, and even something like adding a rear spoiler would add the cost of the spoiler to the premium. I think they would just not pay out to repair non standard addons unless disclosed. Depends on company really. But all mods have to be disclosed such as my sidestrips had to be told etc. Due to it making the car more appealing. However as my insurance was free i didnt need to pay anything for them. Im just not allowed to touch the engine otherwise then i have to start paying. Could not put a whole bodykit on either but mods which dont look much different from standard and are basically OEM parts or accessories they didnt care about. Other thing is i wouldnt have to tell them if i changed my alloys i could stick 20" chrome rims worth £1000 each on there makes no difference to policy. But if i lower it i have to pay. Funny how insurance works. Few companies are fine with mods some arent though. Some companies are getting cheeky though to the point you even need to declare leather interior. Quote
nikonian Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Hi! Greetings from Estonia! I'm a new C4 coupe owner (for a week now) and got mine with this bodystyling kit already assembled. It was a kind of promotion car at a local dealer shop. Maybe its just because I have one of those rare white C4's (most people seem to prefer metallic paints), but I think this body kit suits the car quite well and I'm perfectly happy with it. Well, who doesn't want to look different, right? B) Some pictures for those who might be interested:My C4 VTR Sport Regards, nikonian Quote
Mike5483 Posted October 8, 2006 Author Posted October 8, 2006 I like that styling kit and I think at some point in the future, it will probably adorn my car. Quote
wozza Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Got to say i like it more on the white car. It just does not look nice in the picture on the silver. Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 I quite like the C4 in white. Could certainly do with being lowered though. Quote
Welshguy Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Welcome! Very nice car you have there mate, although I agree with the others...could do with lowering! In my opinion I'd colour-code the spoiler as well...will make a huge difference! Quote
Stuey Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 that looks sweet!! I was in two minds to have a white car or not, thats the first one I have seen in White and it looks verrrry nice Quote
C4VTRhdi Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Ive seen it on a black car at the dealers and it looks great, it fills out more at the bottom than what it looks like on the silver car which is a poor pic. If you look at the footage of the C4 rally car you will notice the front bumper is the same or almost identical and that looks fantastic. If I keep my C4 ill be having one for sure. Quote
