Please forgive the duplication if this has already been covered, but like many C5 owners, my car has given up injecting Eolys fluid into the fuel tank/system a long time ago. A very kind member of this forum tested the car and told me that the Eolys pump was not working.

My question is:

1. Is it reasonably easy to disconnect the pump electrics and test the pump motor? That way I will know whether I need to replace the pump.

2. If the answer to the above is that the pump IS faulty, how difficult is it to replace?

2. When is the pump driven? Some people say that the fluid is injected every time the fuel cap is removed, and others say that it is injected at regular intervals. I want to monitor the pump drive with a voltmeter to see...

All advice gratefully received.
