Spoiler......

I went into the crawley citroen dealership a couple of weeks ago and asked about the spoiler, they quoted £700!!!!!!! :o I left, quickly! :P

The website says around £188 (i think), how much did the people who got it fitted aftermarket pay for the spoiler and fitting?!?!

p.s I have made the desicion to get the spoiler because i saw a VTS in the dealership yesterday!! :wub: The side windows are the same as mine (i.e not any darker) but the rear window is much darker! I also could not see that it was any lower than the C4 (hatchback) that it was parked next to! (or mine?!?)

Anyway, back on the topic, i really the spoiler now, just dont have any money (literally :()

Before accessories etc were out i paid £200 for it off ebay and fitted it myself. Was quoted £550 for just the spoiler from citroen though. Not hard to fit either take around 30 minutes.

 

Although the tape you use to stick it to the window is hopeless it lasts a few weeks then likes to pop off. Or it did on mine could be due to the bass making the window vibrate as well though. But i have now bonded mine to the window with sikaflex.

 

And they are deffinately lower you notice it more when your parked next to them rather than just looking at it. Without a direct comparison as its only a little amount but its quite noticeable when cars are enxt to each other.

Paid £170 for mine off ebay including P&P - fitted it with my brother's help. Not really difficult to fit but Im not tool minded! The spoiler I bought was already painted, and was in excellent condition bar 2 tiny chips - one at each end of the spoiler...nothing serious though.

like most people have said mate, buy it from Ebay and take it to a bodyshop for spraying and fitting

If you get a proper citroen one it will already be sprayed black...or it should be.

The little spoiler - the one beneath the hoop that Ciaran is after - is this the same as fitted to all standard three door coupes or does the VTS stick out more?

 

Just dont remember seeing the other day on a non spoiler fitted coupe that was all....

Do you need to upgrade the gas struts if you add a spoiler? Noticed one on ebay comes in box complete with H/D gas struts..HERE

He means the rear spoiler on the top of the window. Comes as standard on the petrol VTS. The black one.

Only the VTS 180 gets the black spoiler but the car in most peoples opinion doesnt look right without it.

 

And i wish my garden looked like that. I cant be arsed looking after the smallish one we have.

Dodgy citroens...leave em alone for 5 mins and they are changing their specs, swapping drivers sides....dancing in the car park....turning themselves around, im sure I didnt reverse into that space outside work this morning :D
