Hi all!

I'm the proud owner of a 61 plate DS4 1.6HDi DStyle, have been for about 6 months now. She had done 37k when I bought her and I've since put about 8k on her. Some teething problems with dodgy supermarket fuel and temperamental bluetooth aside, she's been a worthy companion and not let me down yet.

Nice one Ciaran, looks good..I`ve just arrived here myself, last week..Got the cousin to yours, the C4..also a diesel..Interesting that you have had problems with supermarket fuel....Before I bought mine I had a good natter with one of the technicians who told me that these engines don`t like that sort of fuel..He recommended branded fuel(with the better additives) and every so often stick £15 of V Power or BP Ultimate in..That they do like...He runs one like yours as well as fixing `em..

Love the colour, some interesting gizmos in the background shot  :D

All the best

If I'm honest I prefer the C4s supple ride but the dealer only had a 5 speed HDI 90 in stock and offered a better deal on it. I use premium fuel every other tank now just to keep it clean while I still run a diesel. My mileage is on the borderline for DPF problems so I want to try and avoid issues as much as I can!

All that stuff is from the Gosport Diving museum; only there as right next to the beach I walk my dogs on

Must admit the C4 ride is fantastic..very comfortable..Mine was the showroom car and had been pre reg, although never road used, and like you my mileage is borderline or below. The price however was such that I couldnt miss it tbh...Said Techie was helpful on this point too...advice is to drive it once a month on a motorway or similar at 3000rpm /about 50mph, in 3rd gear, for about 20mins..Ignore the horrible noise it makes apparantly..This allows the dpf to regen properly..Was also advised that doing mileage at high speed, still won`t do the regen, as many people think...so hopefully etc....

The DS is a bit of a half and half car in that the semi-leather seats are like wingback chairs but the ride is quite bouncy due to stiff springs. It can take corners better than it has any right to but it's not as comfy as the C4. Well I'm starting a new job and will be doing about 15k a year now so hopefully won't be an issue!
