Hi all

I been monitoring this forum for a few months now with great interest. I am hoping to swap my current Avensis for a new motor next March and the C4 is at present at the top of my list. I am no stranger to Citroen's, my last being a Xsara which I had to part with after it was remodelled by a 4x4 last Christmas, so I know what the dealers can be like.

On all car forums there are those that love the car and others that say it's the worst ever, yes even Toyota, however there is one thing that does concern me about the C4 and that is the aircon leakage into the footwells especially as I leave my aircon on all the time, summer and winter. Is this problem on most C4's or just the odd few, and can it be cured so that it does not happen again?

I can currently get a HDi VTS or Exclusive for £14.5k throught the CSMA but I wonder if I might get some opposition if I have to take it to a dealer for warranty work. Has anyone found this to be the case?

Thanks to everyone for all the information on this forum, it is a great help.

Don't think you need to worry too much about the aircon, seems fine on my VTR+. Wouldn't think its a problem that affects everyone. Hopefully it stays that way. :D

Great car btw, definitely go for it, alive with technology, big time.

Mine is in the dealers for this problem now. They told me today there was a service bulletin about the routing of the drain pipe so its safe to assume that new cars won't have the aircon leaking into the footwells.

according to the csma web site it comes with the manufacturers warranty.

Most of the teething troubles have now been sorted so that worry has gone,

the only problem left is finding a decent dealership to look after it.

As for the car itself its brilliant, if you can afford it get the navidrive and/or the jbl audio system.
