Z3M Roadster Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 £15k to spend on insurance, seems ludicrous to me. Whatever you buy in that price bracket you will effectively be waving goodbye to thousands of pounds within 6 months. That is of course if you can get insured in the first place. As Wozza said, it is easy to buy the car but maintaining is another story. Yes it is more than likely a TVR will cost in excess of £1500 a year and thats for a Chim or Griff. A Ferrari such as the 360 is more reliable and less expensive to run than the 355, but either will be costly. I'd go for an Exige and insure yourself as a named driver on a parent's policy, albeit I wouldn't condone that. Insurance on Westfields/Caterhams is stupidly cheap for young drivers, mine was only £400 when I was 21. Whatever you go for you probably won't want to drive it in the rain, unless you want to crash.
