Rich_Eason Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 How the flying pig swill can they justify 50quid?! Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 monopolising the industry I would guess...I bet the Citroen ones are slightly more expensive than that... Quote
lee_marshuk Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 That's what I thought....until my mate's BMW 1 Series wipers were going for the same price, and they're only half the size! Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I suppose they are the type of thing that you only have to buy every couple of years, that doesnt help... Quote
C4VTS Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 LIDL have wipers at £1.99 from Monday. Not sure if they will fit a C4 ? Quote
wozza Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 The ones from Lidl likely wont work. C4 uses flat blade wipers unlike most cars. They are basically just look like 1 long bit of rubber. So not likely the Lidl ones would be the same as the current ones. Quote
hertsnminds Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Doesn't the C4 use the same blades as the Pug 307? If it does you can get a pair for £7.25 from these guys http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
Mike5483 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Im sure I read somewhere that you can get a conversion kit to allow you to use normal wipers. £50 is expensive, but it is a new design that only a few models use, so i suppose in terms of the total amount of wipers made, the flat blades represent a very small proportion. philstott1983 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Am i missing something here? I thought a wiper blade was a wiper blade without any variant???? Obviously not, so whats the difference between the C4 blades and normal blades? Also, are there any products that can be applied to your windows to get longer life out the wipers? What about that stuff that you can put on, its like a waxy thing and the water just runs off it with ease, would using that help a lot? £50 for wipers, thats more than a full tank of fuel..... bugger me! wozza Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Difference is. http://www.v70xc.com/features/ultimate_wiper_blade/0/oem_vs_ultimate_wiper_blade.jpg C4 uses the Ultimate type most other cars use the conventional type. Quote
