Koa Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Just thought I'd say hi, we are just about to go and order a new C4 VTS deisel and I was looking for a friendly little forum a came across this place. I already know one of your members. Hello Wozza <_< I told you a while ago that I have always liked the C4's, well now I am here to prove it :D Problem is, we don't know what colour to go for. The Scott Yellow is kind of appealing but I was worried it may look old fashioned. Does anyone have the panoramic sunroof, if so, is it any good ? Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 welcome aboard!! The scott yellow looks very nice in the metal. See the C4 porn thread...the general concensus is that silver is too common and that the Iron Grey is a bit flat. Wicked Red, Oriental Blue and Black seem to be the colours of choice. You could go completly original and go for white. I dont think anyone has the sunroof. All the cars have aircon so you dont really need it. Quote

Yeah the porn thread is what got my attention <_< I have been looking around for tuning posibilities, I see Angel Tuning do a remap to 173bhp and also offer a CDA option with it. I asked at the Citroen dealers and the salesman said he has heard that there is a possible upgrade from the dealers which will be covered by warranty. What's the waiting limit on new C4 coupes ATM ? Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 the wait....ahh the wait....some people who ordered their cars from brokers have had to wait months. I had about the first Oriental Blue car in the country and it took about 3 weeks which is about the maximum you should have to wait for an "in stock" car. If you go for a more specialised version like a Scott Yellow with loads of options you will be waiting a while as they will have to build it for you... Quote
ham's c4vts Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 welcome to the forum, my VTS 180 only took 5 days for me to get it , but it was in stock at the dealer Quote
wozza Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Hello Koa mate. Not the only one on here from the Fiat Forum theres a couple more here as well although they do not post that regularly. Panoramic roof is supposed to be rather good from what I heard. If i go to a VTS next time it would be on the option list. Although it is a fixed roof so wont open. Which is a bit of a shame they should have done something like the Stilo had. If you get a factory order car they can take up to 12 weeks or a rare colour but as said depends on options etc that are chosen. When I bought mine I had a 12 week wait and that was only because I wanted a red one. Otherwise a black or silver car I could have had in a week. But I did have one of the only red cars in the country as a result. The yellow does look really good though. As does oriental blue and black. And obviously wicked red but I might be a little biased about that one. Either way the diesels are good engines and after a remap should be pretty good. Car rides very nicely handles well for what they are too. Very happy with mine. Have a few little niggles but doubt you will have to go through many of them since it will be a newer car should be fine as a result. Quote
Koa Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 cool, thanks for the reply's. Well so far we are thinking, Scott Yellow, rear spoiler ( essential ), panoramic sunroof ( Which is fixed isn't it ? )I have a PDA for the sat nav so that's just a waste of money for me, although I do like the looks of it on the dash. Anything you guys would recommend ? Quote
wozza Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Yeah sunroof is fixed. JBL upgrade if you want the MP3 player and sub? Depends how important MP3 is to you. cant remember any other options except bluetooth phone kit. Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I not sure why other peoples stock systems dont play MP3's mine does... as strange as it sounds...mudflaps...not a lot of the cars have them fitted but they look really good and help keep it clean. If you are set on a VTS then there probably isnt a lot more boxes to tick as you have most things already. You know about the spoiler which was going to be my other point. Quote
Koa Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 Mud flaps eh, I know a lot of people hate mud flaps, but I think they'd look great on the C4 and that was another thing I was considering. Do they have any Citroen Sport style flaps for the C4 ? MP3's are important so I'll have to look into that one, I have too many cd's full of mp3's to waste them. Quote
Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 the mudflaps are moulded and look really good..very subtle unlike "normal" ones that dangle under the car like spaniels ears!! Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Doesn't Ham have a picture of his black VTS with mud flaps? Keep on meaning to get some!! One thing I dont think many people have (other than me, and maybe it is standard on higher spec than a VTR) are the door sill protectors. I just got some and they are really classy! I will try and get a pic up soon. Quote
wozza Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Door sills are only on the VTS. Nothing else. Want some for mine but give up spending money on my car now for a bit. Quote

Stuey Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 they be the ones...I want a set and some door sills... Quote
Koa Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 Yeah I have them on my VXR (sill protectors) it's surprising how many scuffs they actually pick up so they do a good job, especially on cars with skirts. Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I had about the first Oriental Blue car in the country I think mine must have been one of the early Orientals. When did you get yours? Quote
