Cosmite Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 (edited) C3 Picasso 2010 1.6HDi This warning comes up every time I use the car, but not until I have run it for a few minutes; makes no difference whether nothing is switched on, or a heavy load. The battery warning light comes on, stays on, and the display shows the above message, briefly. I replaced the battery with a new one because it was 5 years old and giving a borderline reading for condition (12.5V) but this made no difference. I checked the alternator charge rate which was a steady 14.4V. I have done several hundred miles since this started showing; general running and all other warning lights normal. I've checked the engine compartment earth leads; all lights working. The car does not have brake pad wear warning but new front pads put on recently anyway. I also did my own servicing and reset the service notification. I just learned today about BSI so I went straight out and went through that, but still happening. I'd be glad of any advice or knowledge on this; also on likely garage charges for a diagnostic check, and whether a non-Citroen garage is likely able to deal with it. To help in searching forums, it would also be good if anyone knows whether older C3s, other models, and makes other than Citroen share the same engine management and diagnostic displays.
