pork_pie Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 Was driving down the M56 and noticed the cruise control was not working. Also noticed that the engine took a while to return to its idling speed. In some cases the engine was stuck at 1000 rpm. When changing gear noticed the engine slightly revving up. Sometimes this resulted me in rocketing thrrough when changing into second but then chugging along in third. This jerked me off big time. Parked the car and decided to go to the garage. The problems went! I was able to use cruise control and throttle was fine. They booked it in for Tuesday but the guy said it could have been 3 problems.. 1) Stuck pedal 2) stuck cable 3) Engine management. Drove it again last night and everything seems okay. The most embarassing thing is that the fellas in service know my name. Quote
mooseshaver Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 did you ever get your problem sorted? I don't have cruise, so at least that isn't faulty on my car. ;) Quote
pork_pie Posted March 13, 2003 Author Posted March 13, 2003 Moose. I had it checked on the 4th. Problem went. Guess what, the problems come back. Citroen can burn for all I care. Quote
mooseshaver Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 Hope you do get your problem sorted. Have they said anything about it coming back? Quote
pork_pie Posted March 17, 2003 Author Posted March 17, 2003 They were suprised as I was but they were not as focked off as I was. The problem has not reapeared I take it tomorrow for it to get checked. They will do the usual "plug a computer inth the cars ECU" and diagnose NOTHING. Ill report on the work tomorrow afternoon. Still love the car to pieces Quote
pork_pie Posted March 19, 2003 Author Posted March 19, 2003 Moose and co. They found the problem. A faulty clutch sensor. Whats one of them? Parts been ordered but theres another problem. The service has been great from Citroen Manchester. They always valet my car after its been seen. Thanks to the fact I have been to the garage 6 times, its such a clean car!!! They washed it yesterday and the auto car wash left a massive scrach in the rear bumper. I went livid tellign them you don't take a black car in one of them. They said theyll fix it when the clutch sensors repaired. Sick to ruddy death.t Quote
mooseshaver Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 why do citroen dealers never have parts in stock? Every thing my C3 has needed and most thing my saxo needed always had to be ordered and always took weeks. Quote
