philstott1983 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 I dont know if im missing something, but i can get my front wiper to do just one wipe of the windscreen....... I thought pushing the wiper stalk down would just wipe once, but it doesnt and wipes about every 5 seconds for some time. Whats faulty, the car or me?! Quote
wozza Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 if you have a COOL spec or higher pushing it down activates the auto wipers. If they stop at any time pushing it down again will give it a 1 wipe. Otherwise you have to push up then click down again to get a single wipe. Quote
dave&trace Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 we like auto wipers good idea and seams to work well on our car.only problem now we think we may need new wipers car has just done 23000 today.£45 ish to replace.looks like ebay account is in for a hammering. ;) Quote
c14vts Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Agree that fine rain confuses them i.e. they don't come on. Also find that on cold morning when there is dew or condensation on the car they go mad with nothing to wipe. Most of the time they are good. The wiper I find most annoying (on the 5 door) is the rear as it only has an intermittant wipe which is usless in heavy rain when you need it on all the time. The wipers being on also seems to effect when the auto headlights want to be on. Now that's a function I am always overrriding the auto lights on/off. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Wipers Indeed They r a law unto themselves, i just dont drive when it rains gets the car wet Quote

We have an access lane to our garage and is only used by us to put the car away. Over the last few weeks it has turned into mud slurry and sprays and flicks mud everywhere. At least when it freezes it wont be making such a mess...i hope Quote
Guest CE05LDB Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 The Auto wipers are the same on my C3. Goes all the time when drizzle and hardly when hammering down sometimes. I like the Auto lights and wipers though. Thats one of the reasons why I wouldn't go for a C4 1.6i 16v SX Auto. And I find my digital Air Con easy. And the C4 SX has only manual Air Con. Why didn't Citroen do a C4 1.6i 16v Cool Auto  Quote
