I parked up in Stevenage yesterday on business. It was only when I got out the car that I really how close I was to ripping the bumper off. I have noticed before that the over hang is greater than I have had before on my company cars as I have scraped it on several occasions in multistorey car parks.

I noticed the same thing when i drove off the ramp of the Plymouth ferry. A lot of people dont realise until its too late, as you can see loads of dents in the ramps

Those flat top pyramid speed bumps used in traffic calming areas cut it a bit tight if you "bridge" over them....

Do the C4's not have that sacrificial rubber trim strip to prevent small damage....i.e hitting kurbs? Cant say I have ever noticed them...

Clipped mine on high kurbs thats about it. So used to having t get the car as close as possible to my front door to get it on the drive so the other car can get out. i did the same in a carpark and hit the kurb. No damage done though just horrible noise.

Ripped the number plate clean off the VX last week when pulling out of a petrol station. Have just fitted a mini plate which seems to have gained a few valuable mm of ground clearance.

Just be careful with the mini plates and police. Few of the guys over on the clio forums have got VX's now and those that got mini plates few have been pulled for it.

I have the car lowered 30mm and regularly hit the number plate when going down multi-storey car park ramps, but that's all. The number plate takes the "hit" when going down the ramps anyway so no damage
