c14vts Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 TYRE PRESSURE SENSORS Anyone Had any problems with these, good idea when they work a 3/4 x8 screw through the front tyre (its Still in there ;) too, Ordered two new front tyres same make and tread pattern just before they stop making them ) but when they dont ......u stop and get out to see a fully inflated tyre even when checked at various filling stations . getting them sorted tommorrow :o Quote
ham's c4vts Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Ive not had problems with sensors.if you require the tyres to be inflated, then going to a petrol station to pump them up is a bad idea, as a low pressure tyre heats up quicker so you'll get a false reading/inflation. get yourself an electric pum from somewhere like Halfrauds and a digital pressure gauge and check tyres when cold Quote
C4VTS Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I had a low pressure tyre warning last week, and they were a bit low so that was fine.According to the handbook the display is supposed to tell me which tyre is low with a graphic display of the car but I did not get this. Quote
c14vts Posted November 19, 2006 Author Posted November 19, 2006 thanx i have the read out 4 which tyre is down thanx, letting citroen sort it out if they know how thanx very much anyway ;) Any Idea how i get my pics on by the way or how to set the avator with a pic Quote

But that was a while ago, june i think? ;) Quote
C4VTS Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I am wondering now if all the missing functions I have is due to when I had my 9706AG cable installed a while back. I might see if I can get it looked at next weekend as don't really want to take a day off work for something that is not stopping the car from being driven. Quote

Welshguy Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Btw Ham....have you got a close up of your number plate? Just interested to see what's in the 'blue' section to the left. My brother has a Seat Ibiza, and recently got some German style plates, and they look the business! I was thinking about getting some French style plates but can't really find as many good examples as the German ones. Might settle for the 'blue' section UK ones - have you got a flag or something in there? Quote
Stuey Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Btw Ham....have you got a close up of your number plate? Just interested to see what's in the 'blue' section to the left. its the Euro stars round flag thingy and GB underneath, it standard on all new cars... Quote
ham's c4vts Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 cheers stuey, dont tell any more secrets though  Quote
Stuey Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 dont worry Ham I want tell anyone your big secret... You can see the flag a bit clearer on my sig...whats the deal with the blue section anyway?? Welsh's doesnt have it mine and yours does, the C4 hire car outside does but the 307 that is newer doesnt...i'm confused  Quote
Rich_Eason Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I don’t think it is a UK mandatory requirement. I think if you wish to travel in Europe you can use these plates legally without the need for a GB badge/sticker. Both my VTS and previous car hasn’t had the "EU" GB badge on the plates...it probably depends what the delear had in stock or what they decide to use when making the plates.... Quote
Stuey Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 so its dealer perogotive then...i'm less confused thanks Quote
Rich_Eason Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Always blame the dealer... Believe me, I know these things as I unfortunatly work with someone who is a Bus and Number Plate Spotter (seriously, I only thought they were fictional) and persistently tells me these things. He also knows too much about road legislation. Last week he persisted to tell me the lighting up times of London and Bristol for Febuary 2000 - 2006. ...I didnt even ask Quote
Stuey Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I thought bus spotters where an urban legend...until I went to Derby bus station and there was a big group of them comparing notes on National Express coaches...very strange...but that said people would say we are strange for talking about cars on the internet...maybe where all a bit nerdy?? Quote
Rich_Eason Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Perhaps.... I would say we have a healty interest...but not so unhealthy that everytime we see another C4 we all have to pull over and mop up. Thank god for Supagard..... Quote
Stuey Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Thank god for Supagard..... thats just wrong...I like it  Quote
