jennybash Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 If the seats are supposed to be waterproof then why do they leave awful stains/watermarks?? After the heavy rain of recent times even opening the door to get in causes the seats to get wet and the stains are very unsightly. Should this be the case? Quote
dobbin Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 They cleverly never said waterproof. I have checked in the original brochure that I have, and it says this: "Sometimes it the little details that really count. Whether you choose the C3 Pluriel 1.4i model with 'Geo' or the 1.6i model featuring '3d Apiculla', the upholstery has been especially developed to be weather proof". Actually, I think its the big details that *REALLY* count, like having a roof that doesn't leak. Quote
hertsnminds Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 If they had said stain resistant then maybe they would have not described them correctly. From what I can remember about a previous posting on getting the seats recovered (because of staining) they are in fact just big foam sponges. I suspect the new model with the leather seats will be more stain resistant. The only trouble with leather is how warm it gets when left in the sun, not good when you are wearing shorts or any other garment that let's your skin touch the seat. Ian Orange 03 Senso Quote
Hugh Jobling Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I have been following the correspondance about the water stained seats. I am about to take delivery od a new pluriel and wondered if spraying the seats with Scotch guard or similar would prevent this. has anybody tried anything and what resulted hugh Quote
