Maverick Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 On my way back from town today I got the three beeps, followed by the flashing Auto/Snow warning. I could not stop where I was (A4 in rush hour) so continued while the wife looked up the error. Turns out this was the "Panic, STOP and call Citroen" or something similar. By the time she had located this in the manual (Page 54 I think) the error had gone. Anyone else had this, know what the cause is, or if I am likely to be on the slippery slope of having my car turn against me. TIA, Mav Quote
hertsnminds Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 Best case A sensor has given a glitch reading and has triggered the warning. (We know how easy it is to confuse the logic in the Pluriel). Worst case Faulty sensor or part that needs to be replaced. If it is a one off I would ignore it until the next service, if it happens again I would take it to a Citroen dealer and get it hooked up to the diagnostic computer as soon as possible. dobbin Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I would recommend calling your dealer. I think when they plug their computer into the Pluriels computer at the next service, they can download a list of all the warnings that have been displayed. In the worst case scenario they could accuse you of ignoring a warning, which may invalid the warranty. Its got to be worth a call at least. Quote
n_olympios Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 I must have understood something incorrectly here or I'm just not familiar with the terms... The snow warning is shown when the outside temperature is below 3 degrees C, or am I wrong? I don't see how this is related to the car itself. It just warns you to be more careful on driving, that's all. Please correct me if I'm missing something. :( Quote

[/quote] Welcome back. :( The sensodrive gearbox has a warning light when it detects snow (or wheel slippage?) and puts the gearbox in a snow mode, I guess shortening the gear changes). In this case the box has a warning mode where the auto and snow lights flash and beep to alert to a problem with the gearbox. Quote
