Rich_Eason Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Sorry to pull up an old post... However it appears that the people in the video "had no idea they were not allowed to follow bus drivers through the bollards" Link Cue the excuses.... Quote
Safety Engineer Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Theres been quit a lot of talk about these in the motoring press. When they first went in there where no signs indicating the barriers or change of road use (some of these were roads that cars could use). All in all a balls up, they local authority are under scrutiny for H&S offences, bearing in mind that these devices are supposed to 'fail to safe' and some bits have been left out on cost grounds !! moggy Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 those are some typicaly OTT reports, making it sound like the bollards smash thru into the passenger cabin. its clear to see they stop when theres a car on top. bunch of freakin eejits <_<  Quote
Rich_Eason Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Yes the newspaper report has been "spun" just a tad! <_< Quote
