Rich_Eason Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Yep numerous times i have smacked the chevrons. Then because the horn has not gone off i usually end up with the next 10 words leaving my mouth all words the forum would say OOPS to. You be surprised its not a huge red button on the steering centre as... *huge sweeping generalised statement alert*.... the french are notorious for using their horn for anything! Sidenote on horns....I think the most effective horn on a car I've had was a set of tripple airhorns retrofitted to all my minis...was the possibly the best accessory I ever bought! The sound was most effective :D Quote
wozza Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Decided im going to create a horn that says "TWAAAAAAAAAAAAT!" when you beep it. You think it would get the point across a bit better? Quote
Stuey Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Decided im going to create a horn that says "TWAAAAAAAAAAAAT!" when you beep it. like it!! there is a video kicking around of an american truck with a train horn fitted, he drives past people and blows it, the results as you can probably gather are rather funny! Rich_Eason Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006  :D Only get the full effect if you hold it down fully Wozza and with dopler effect you'd get "Twwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" and people might not understand... What about those rotating dot matrix displays? I'd love to put on in the back window and flash up messages or two I think if you look on You Tube, there are some blokes in America driving round in a car tooting people with a railway locomotive air horn under the bonnet of the car. Very Childish..... but funny.........  Quote
wozza Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 There one with a horn from a ship as well. And then the funnyish one where they put a bird call thing on the blow off valve from a turbo. Everytime they change gear all you hear is what sounds like a dying duck. Be a laugh though. Quote
Welshguy Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Stupid Bloody Van Drivers - He even had the cheek to wave thanks as he pulled out !! I had the same problem with the horn though...its difficult to find quickly when you need it, although one that screams "twwwwaaaattttt" like Wozza suggested would be good! It actually quite appropriate, as that was the very word that left my lips when the (other) van driver reversed into my car a few months back...Trouble is I had my windows up so he didn't hear me! welshys90 Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 yeah i goin from a '98 focus instructor car to the C4 first time i pressed on teh brakes i nearly ended up the otherside of the windscreen, as for the horn i think ive managed to hit it once and that was stopped out someones house waiting on them any other time i tend to hit the chevrons or for some odd reason i hit the side of the indicator stalk or the steering wheel itself sometimes pretty wierd im waitin for the day i knock half the steering wheel through the window, the "maxed" up cars just dont do it for me, theres a focus i see occasionally and the lights are small ovals on the back bumper but once your within about 6 foot of him you cant see whether hes braking or not, i suppose next time im behind him ill wait for the crash then ill know when hes braking :D Quote
Rich_Eason Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 As mentioned above so childish but you have to laugh! Link And one for luck.. Link Quote

C4VTS Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 The brakes are the best of any car I have driven on the C4. Quote
