Welshguy Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Right, You guys know what work I've done on the car, but I'm wondering what to do next - bear in mind I love doing stuff on a budget so it's gotta be relatively cheap and worth the expence. I'm after a screen for the car (either the JVC AVX2 3.5" screen/HU or a flip-up 7" screen) and I want to play DVDs/watch TV. Any ideas? Quote
Stuey Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 those screens are quite expensive if I remeber rightly, why not look at upgrading the audio system first and have the screen as a cool thing later?? you wont have to worry about losing functionality if you change the head unit like most other who have done have. You have title of car with the most bling, now you can go for car with the loudest system. Quote
Welshguy Posted November 23, 2006 Author Posted November 23, 2006 Well I have a pretty decent Alpine system so I have the option of selling that to recoup any outlay on new equipment - but I REALLY want TV in the car... I'm constantly looking on ebay for that bargin that nobody has seen yet...that's how I got most of my equipment/parts so far...I think I wrote a list on here once listing how much I've saved on each part I've bought...it was a considerable amount... Quote
Stuey Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 didnt know you had upgraded the system already...screen it is then! Quote
wozza Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 You upgraded the front components and got something fairly decent running on an amp? If not do that. For something decent be around £300 - £400 Screens you dont want to go cheap on. minimum of £500 for a half decent one then add extra for tv tuner and installation etc. If your looking for an all in one solution talking £1000 ish for a decent screen unit. The ones you see on ebay are cheap knockoffs and not worth the cash. Quote

Welshguy Posted November 27, 2006 Author Posted November 27, 2006 I bought seperate "V" & "T" badges from ebay - A number of sellers on there offer individual letters, although I had to ask as they didn't advertise this. There are now joined VT badges on ebay though which I think would look better - may get some of these in the future. Quote
