Last time I tried Rain-X was several years ago, and was not very impressed.

It worked ok for about a week then after that the windscreen was all smeary and impossible to clean properly. I still have the old bottle somewhere.

never had a problem, ive used it since about 1985, i agree you need to apply it to windscreen regulary in this weather and also do your blades with it, but sides last for ages.

i normally apply it at least once a month in winter, but supose it helps with cleaning car every weekend.

Have to agree with that.

Mine went smeary, and was dangerous at night with oncoming lights. Spent hours trying to get the damn stuff off.

Would use it on side windows but never again on windscreen.

Just my experience of it.

There are better products than Rain-X as somebody bought me one of those QVC products also many years ago, and it did actually work very well.

Only problem was there were about 3 or 4 different bottles and you had to apply each one in the right order. Not sure if QVC still sell anything similar.

i bet its as good as that no water car wash stuff

i had some polish off them once and on their advert it showed you water litterally sheeting off the paint work after you used their wash and polish, in reallity it never worked so at least you could send it back minus postage.

i agree with wozza, its how you apply it and buff it off

Nope you have to keep pushing the stalk down I'm affraid. Besides which they stay auto for the duration of the journey unles syou specifically turn them off.

Where as the case for Light auto on is sensible as it is either dark or light, however the rain sensor isnt clever enough to detect frosty glass from wet glass could get confused and wreck your blades.

Ok, it does make sense but on other makes auto means on all the time. any how i contacted citroen and i am waiting for an answer. You see where i come from there is no frost in the winter. just rain. So auto should be auto...

You are lucky not to have Frost and Ice then! Although rain can be bad enough.
