wozza Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Rattling passenger door section. and that if you have parking sensors extra or something that the screen is configured for them. Quote
mike_ro Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Good day everyone! The name is Mihai and I'm from Romania.First off all I have to say that I'm really pleased with all info available on this forum and hope that you will allow me to share my opinions with you about my future C4. Me and my gf ordered the beauty (C4 Coupe 1.4 VTR - rouge lucifer/wicked red  ) in late November and we were told that it will be delivered in December. The car went into production in the 48th Week (27th of Nov-1st of Dec), and even though we are still hoping to receive it this year, I'm not so sure it will actually happen. For Romania's orders they also give here between 6 and 8 weeks for delivery, but considering that our VTR is slightly modified I expect them to deliver it with a certain delay..... Hope I'll be wrong... Anyway, like I said, I think you guys are doing a great job on this forum. Cheers everyone! :) Quote
DJVile Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 i was quoted 6-8 weeks as well. Turns out i should get it next week which will make it 10 weeks. Best of luck!!! P.s Welcome to the forum Quote

Oooops! I think I made a mistake.....It's late October not November....obviously.....It's not like for us Romanians the french are doing extra hours... Djvile: Thanks! Quote
ham's c4vts Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Welcome Fuzzyone and mike_ro to the forum! before you sign, take a good look around the car checking body panels for damage, as i had a zx 1.4 ages ago and a week later i washed it and found the door had been damaged and repaired but you could see the difference in paint on the door. Quote
mike_ro Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Thanks! Basically I think I'll test and check everything. Some guys in RO, received their C4's with scratches on the dashboard and on the inside..... or ugly dirt on the ceiling... Others had their tapestry damaged in some small areas..... (so annoying....). They are not so many guys in those cases of course. Que: What standard equipment (mud flaps, carpets, fire extinguisher, tools...and so on....) do the C4's in the UK come with? Quote
ham's c4vts Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 they dont come with fire extinguishers, mudflaps or tool kits as standard.you may get mats thrown in with the deal, they may not fit mudflaps though as you have to take the wheels off to fit iff you havent got the right tool. i managed to fit mudflaps whith the wheels on but i used a body reamer from a model shop/hobby store Quote
mike_ro Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 I see... From what I understood, here they give you for free the mud flaps (which they do not mount......if you want to have them mounted you'll have to wait untill the first revision  ) and as standard: the fire extinguisher, the medical kit and a special indication triangle (sorry I don't know the exact term for it)..... On the other hand they are forced by the law to do that (those three items I mean). Quote
Rich_Eason Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 and as standard: the fire extinguisher, the medical kit and a special indication triangle (sorry I don't know the exact term for it)..... Some countries insist that all cars have these fitted by law. Some countries also insist spare glasses if you need them for driving, spare light bulbs etc. Here in the UK we are not required any of the above kit unless you choose to do so. My honest opinion I think it is a good thing that you carry these items as you never need when you need them for yourself or to assist someone else. Quote
mike_ro Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Yes I think so too! I managed to fit mudflaps whith the wheels on but i used a body reamer from a model shop/hobby store Thanks for the info! But how would you qualify the use of mud flaps in C4's case? Are they really worth being put on? Personally I want to have them mounted too, but I've heard that they are not of such a good quality and turn into pieces quite fast.... Quote
ham's c4vts Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 had no problems with mine they are well made contoured plastic, but really dont stop much of the muck getting on the body work though, probably only slightly better than no mudflaps  Quote
C4VTS Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Hi Ham, Do the mudflaps help to keep the rear window clear? The rear wiper only clears a small area. Quote
ham's c4vts Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 not really mate, i put the mudflaps on when i got the car so have never noticed really. The window still gets crappy because it flat at the back, unlike say the Xsara which has a little boot part to the rear. hope that helps  Quote
Rich_Eason Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 The rear wiper only clears a small area. When I first showed my mate my car,t he very first thing he commented on was the size of the wiper...he found it highly amusing. Quote
mike_ro Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 When I first showed my mate my car,t he very first thing he commented on was the size of the wiper...he found it highly amusing. Funny! The very same thing happened to me with one of my best friends in Germany when I showed him the car of my dreams... (the C4 I mean  ) had no problems with mine they are well made contoured plastic, but really dont stop much of the muck getting on the body work though, probably only slightly better than no mudflaps Thanks! I just think I'll not have them mounted yet to see how it's going and if I find a good reason to mount them till the first revision I'll do so... But first the car must arrive..... Quote
Mat Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 The rear wiper only clears a small area. <_< It only covers a small area, but have you noticed when the wiper goes over the screen the surrounding area clears too, as the surface tension is broken? Quote
Rich_Eason Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Its probably air turbulance caused by the blade wanging around. I'm actually embarased to go in Halfrauds and see if they actually sell a blade that small... <_< Quote
