chaddy18 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 After 2500 miles i have a rattle in the passenger side door. It seems to ce comming from the panel where the door opener is. Any ideas how to fix or how to remove this panel. The dealer says they don't know where its comming from? Quote
wozza Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Welcome to the forum mate. This is actually a know issue. So your dealer should have been able to sort it out. I used to have exactly the same place as did a few others of us here. Dealers sorted it for us. Get back to the dealer and tell them to sort it out. If they cant try another dealer. Otherwise can try taking the door pod off and refit it yourself try and see if it will fix it. Other solution could be to spray some expanding foam in that part on the back might hold it in place a little better then. Quote
lab44 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Same happened with mine - its a known fault which I think quite of few of us have had. Don't know why Citroen havent sorted it out. The dealer didnt seem surprised when i took it in - think it said it was a speaker wire or something knocking about. Fixed now and hasnt come back, though seem to have developed a new rattle on the other door now  Dont usually notice though cos i have my music on ;) Quote
iannez Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 done a few of these recentley. always had to fit new door cards in the end and also tape door handle cable to door while its off just incase it taps against the card. Quote
chaddy18 Posted December 15, 2006 Author Posted December 15, 2006 any instructions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated and how to get the door panel off in the first place Quote
skaramanga Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Hi, my jbl system causes rattles and vibrations in both doors, mostly the left one. Doesn't happen if its kept at a low volume, but at any half decent volume, ie 7 or 8, the vibrations start. Does anyone know how i stop this? Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Quote
wozza Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Lee posted about theres some kind of new screws or mounts or something for the door pod if its rattling like that. As he had the JBL upgrade and his was like that. And to get the door off. Undo the torx screw in the door handle and remove the door handle starting at the handle section moving up and around until you get to the front section where the switch is you want that bit to come out last as it wont pull out like the rest. Then just unplug the wire for the windows. Then there is 4 other screws around the side and bottom of the door want to take them out. Then i find the best way to get it off is to start where the speaker grill is and put your hands in the door pocket under and start pulling. Just keep jerking it and it will come off fairly easily. wozza Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Will do a guide when i have some spare time to take the cards off. Want to try a few things anyway which involves removing them. Quote

skaramanga Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 I phoned the dealer and told him I had the jbl system and told him about the buzz in the doors. Here's his reply "Basically you will have to upgrade your speakers, they probably can't handle the power!!" wtf? They are gonna take a look at it anyway, I have to go to them with a Depollution System Faulty error anyway. Quote
lee_marshuk Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 That's a complete load of crap mate, there is an official registered Citroen fault detail with a fix that does work. I've got to go to the garage later this week I'll get you the fault number. Quote
Stuey Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 thats the fix when they replace the fixing screws isnt it?? I have to have mine booked in for it... Quote
lee_marshuk Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Think so mate, the panel is certainly the same and I heard a rhumour it was different screws and some foam..... Quote
