mooseshaver Posted March 2, 2003 Posted March 2, 2003 Not sure if this is the right place for this. After having my C3 taken away by Greenflag on two occasions, I discovered Citroen no-longer deal with greenflag, so I only get 3 days car hire. Unfortunatly my car was not ready by this time, but my Dealer assured me that everything would be ok and just to keep the car, Citroen assist would arrange for the hir to be extended. Of course it wasn't, and after many calls to my dealer they contacted the hire company, and told me to keep the car till mine was ready. Everything seemed fine untill I recieved a large bill for unauthorised car hire, and after contacting the company, ahve found that I am liable for and nobody contacted them to extend it. Contacted dealer, but when I eventualy got to talk to someone, they couldn't help and I must wait till monday before someone will ring back. What happened to my Citroen assist? It was included in the price of my car, why have I not been given new details of who to contact @ RAC who now run it? Quote
xtopher Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 I have just bought a C5 this month. Just read the Assist and it clearly says Green Flag! Thanks for the tip off...I will need to check! Xtopher Quote
xtopher Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Called the breakdown number as attached to my windscreen (6 month old C5) and asked a few questions. If you are already registered as mine was with Green Flag from new (Sept 02) it continues for the year then it is RAC after that. I wasn't told that at the garage but I suppose it is irrelevant until renewal. Xtopher  Quote
mooseshaver Posted March 20, 2003 Author Posted March 20, 2003 Have since spoekn to Citroen UK about this, and my dealer is wrong by telling me I will get car hire longer than 3 days if my car is not ready. It is up to the dealer to arrange a courtesy car. Quote
CE08LDB Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 My brother had his C3 in February and the dealer said that Citroen Assist was with RAC now and not Greenflag. well I noticed in the C3 Manual Case was the Citroen Assist details and number and the stickers was on the car and the next you know my brothers driver's side window would not close so he called Citroen Assist and they Said Greenflag dose not do it no more. So why give the greenflag number where it is RAC Number you should have. Quote

pmcdee Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 I'm not sure this is the right place for this post either. I'm new in here, and have enough problems with my C4 VTS HDi to fill the forum in my own right. Just discovered this forum while looking to see if anyone has had the same problems as me. When I broke down last year near Cologne, Citroen Assist told me I wasn't covered. After about 80 euros worth of telephone calls to my dealer in England and Citroen in France, it was eventually sorted out. (Only took about 8 hours.) Then they lost my car when it was moved to a different garage because diagnostic equipment at the first garage had failed. I did get a hire car though. On going to collect my car, they wanted me to return the hire car to Cologne. It all got very confused. After last years fiasco I opted not to renew cover with Citroen Assist. I'm going to attempt the Germany trip again next Thursday if my car is fixed by then... but that's another story. Quote
