Pondus66 Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 Hello from Norway. Just a litle heads up about rust on the Opel/vauxhall. Just got the c4 and traded in my Opel Astra 150cdti. It started to develop problem with the body panels on the right hand front wheel. But the engine is fantastic. Must admit I am happier with my c4 automatic. :( Quote
dave&trace Posted December 24, 2006 Author Posted December 24, 2006 we were very happy with our c4 but it had a major fault the citroen dealership service departments are not fit to service wheelbarrowsits taken two years to get three minor problems sorted on our car in the end we sorted it ourselves also our three works citroens have been off road more than on the road hence why they are now vauxhalls.we cannot believe the difference of vauxhalls customer service they treat us with respect.there`s no citfob [all c4`s do that mate]thats why our car is going to be changed if citroen can lose good customers like us because of their poor dealerships then good luck to them :( :D :D    Quote
Pondus66 Posted December 24, 2006 Posted December 24, 2006 looks like citroen in UK have the same problem that opel have in Norway. The Opel shops are crap here, while Citroen dealers are good. Strange!! Quote
Welshguy Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Quick question - you selling the TV headrests, or are they going with the car? Quote
dave&trace Posted December 25, 2006 Author Posted December 25, 2006 hopefully they are going in new car Quote
Mike5483 Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Why are you selling the C4??? Yours is one of the nicest on the site!!! Edit, just read the whole thread properly!!! Quote
lee_marshuk Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Aaah has to be said I totally understand Dave & Trace's problem. I am really lucky as I've said before in that I've found a cracking dealer by me. Funny thing is, my Mother has a Vauxhall, and all the 3 dealers by her are terrible - treat you as badly as most Citroen dealerships. My line would be if you have found a car you want, and a dealer who treats you properly, buy buy buy! Have to be honest, I love my C4 to bits but that's more because it is a boy's toy car with lots of gadgets, and I'm not going to (nor could I afford to with the depreciation!!) sell it before the 3 year mark, but when it gets to 3 years, I'm going to think long and hard before I purchase a Citroen again - in fact I think it's unlikely, but when all's said and done I've had the Citroen experience, eh!! [rant over] Make sure you upload pics of your new Astra, when its here!! Cracking car, had it as a courtesy car a few months back. Quote
dave&trace Posted December 28, 2006 Author Posted December 28, 2006 we agree with you lee it is ashame , the C4 is a cracking car but we feel very let down with the poor dealerships. There are 3 in our area, and they are all RUBBISH. We ran Citroens for our business but have changed them to Vauxhalls, if you had said to us a year ago, you`ll be driving a vauxhall the F word would have been used and abused.I am now having to eat my words , it is ashame but the dealership is a big part in running a new car with 3 year warranty.Only driven the Astra a few miles it seams very well put together and the 150 diesel engine goes very well. Will let you all know how it`s going over the next few months and will take some pics and upload them with help from Wozza [please please] Quote
Mike5483 Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Bet its a bit cheaper for you to run as well!!! I dont know what ill be buying next. As Lee said, I cant really afford to get rid of the car, but I was seriously thinking of letting it go in the new year at some point and buying another car. However, after KFK took it under his wing for a few days, I've kind of fallen back in love with it and its a plesure to drive again. Still gotta get the suspension looked, I still feel that there is something not quite right there. Quote
Stuey Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 sorry to see it go D&T!! stick around here though!! Im sure we can have an astra section for you!! Quote
