DesdinovaUK2 Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I'd noted that we seemed to occasionally be getting bad radio reception on BBC stations - radio 4 and radio 2. I'd put this down to a power reduction at the transmitter or other similar problems - the Beeb are not that interested in SE Kent - lack of decent digital coverage being a prime example. Discovered the other day that it is being caused by my younger son's Nintendo DS when he charges it using the car charger. Elder son has an original Nintendo DS and no problems with that - never happened with their Game Boy's either. Odd thing too is that it's only BBC stations that are affected, local commercial stations or French stations are not affected. Anyone else noticed this? Quote

I have had this with other chargers in the past It might be worth putting a suppressor on the charging cable to the DS, similar to the ones on some usb and computer cables. Just wrap the cable around once and clip shut, or use a ferrite ring, works in a similar fashion. Can't guarantee it will work but it won't break anything and will cost about £2 Quote
