xavtia Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 spent nearly 4 hours in the dealers last friday ;) speaker rattling in passenger door Manager suggested looking at the bass settings, like I hadnt already done that :D car display comes up in km when unlocked, they said they'd sorted but alas its backservice indicator down to zero despite still being on 13kcruise control not working still got intermittent flat spot, tried using ron98 not made a bit of differenceloopy mpg telling me i'm getting 40mpg at 60 on the motorway door handles sticking out got the car back after 2.5 hours drove no further than the volvo dealership, next door and turned round took it back, they assured me they had changed the mode to uk but alas back to the old km when unlocking so after 4 hours and a word with the manager about not being happy I drive away knowing that my door handles are sorted and I've got to go back this week Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Sounds like the same situation I am in, however I have given up. Something rattles in my nearside door and also behind the glovebox. When I unlock the car the mileage shows in Kms but reverts to Miles, but has always done this and it doesn't bother me. Since my 50k service my service indicator has a mind of its own, car was serviced last week, I have reset it 4 times and it still reverts to 0. Cruise control works until you pause it 5 or so times, then it says "speed control fault" dealer says no errors logged, therefore nothing they can do! Passenger door handles doesn't retract either, however I sorted this with some WD40. I have now realised after going to 5 different dealers and being treated badly by all them that it must be a Citroen trait. I certainly will never ever have another Citroen and if I owned this car I would have refused it by now. Quote

Its amazing what you watch after sitting there for 5hours. Have you tried Citrotech round behind Temple Meads? They are listed on the Citroen website as a authorised workshop. Have the door rattle and intermitant cruise problem, but not looking forward to taking it in. Dont rely on the MPG readings either not the most accurate of things....just out of curisoity what figures are you expecting at 60mph? Quote
ham's c4vts Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Dont rely on the MPG readings either not the most accurate of things....just out of curisoity what figures are you expecting at 60mph? Ive found mine to be quite accurate, about 0.5 to 0.8 mpg out when i fill up and calculate it Quote
Rich_Eason Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Not over convinced how it calculates it to be honest. It is exactly 1.1 miles from the nearest filling station to my home garage. Reset to zero at filling up, on average I get a fantastic 16mpg to my garage door. i get out leaving the engine running to open the garage door get in the car and it is then reading 12mpg and falling. Think lowest I have seen is 10.3mpg. However...whilst driving the car I have to drive at a speed above 12mph (?) for the computer to start showing a calculated mpg read out....makes sense. So why when I'm stationary does it read fuel consumption, but between 1mph and 12mph or what ever the figure is does it not? :) Anyways this is digressing off topic! Quote
wozza Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 20mph in mine before it starts calculating anything. But if you are stopped your mpg will go down as your effectively doing 0mpg. Also depends on driving style what gear in your at any given moment etc. Once im up to 30 if theres a downhill gradient or a completely flat section i'll stick it in 5th gear and mpg goes up a fair bit at 30mph.
