A few weeks ago i went to my local dealer and raised all my little niggles including the poxy door handles sticking out. his reply was" there is nothing we can do about that". the other day i got in the car and shut the door (as ya do) then the wife opened the pasenger door (as ya do) the drivers door flew open and smashed against a wall, completely wrecking the door. i will post a pic 2moro.

the dealer said "we have a fix for the handles now" i said great news what about my door. " you will need to claim off your insurance. (yeah right)

i phoned citroen raised my complaint ad they gave me a case number.and after sending me for a repair estimate. i had a phone call off the dealer 2day he said that citroen will not pay for the repair work. but they have refered it to the warrenty god in france.

the car is 12 weeks old. wonderful car but the problems and the way citroen treat you is not very clever.

the bad points are starting to out weigh the good.

I had my 2 near side Doors fixed last week..(Handles sticking open) It was in for a new Heat shield and i happened to mention it.They fixed there and then 20mins max..No big deal..!

..

Our on board Comp always warned us if any door was open so we never drove until it was put back in, Yes a little inconvenient..but no big whoop..!!!

..

You have to rememer its a relatively new Model..Things always get sorted in the end. So far i have been back to the Dealer 6 times for niggles, Every little correction and Modification to my C4 makes me feel like i have a Bloody good bit of kit around me..... :)

The door handle fix has been known about for bloody ages now. Had mine done at it 1000 mile service over a year ago not been a problem since it went in a few days ago to citroen again and now suddenly its sticking occasionally god knows why.

But at the same time they took the liberty of ripping the wires out of my stereo. And i mean literally ripping them out and in doing so have lost the rubber washers didnt reconnect any of it and just left wires dangling down in the engine bay.

I would not mind if it was disconnected and put back together properly but you could see where they literally ripped it out as all the screws holding the cable in place were still well in with bits of cable attached to them.

What i dont understand is why did they need to disconnect the stereo to work on my clutch?

Almost as bad as when my parents took their 206 in for a service at the dealers. It went in with the factory fitted multichanger, came out with a duff Sony one loosly pushed into the mountings in the boot and obviously not connected.

Dealer couldnt explain what had happened, but as a "measure of good will" they would replace it for the one that was in there.

They probably didnt have any sidecutters or wire cutters to hand wozza so they "carefully" ripped it out,

Perhaps they were canbalisiing your car to complete another job?!
