skaramanga Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Have many people said to you that if they are following the C4 Coupe at night their headlights reflect back at them from the rear window, puts them off following you too closely. Another thing I thought of, when other people close my boot they always slam it for some reason. Seems to be really heavy or something. Bugs the hell outta me! Quote
Stuey Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 nobody has mentioned the reflecting lights thing, only badly set up lights should shine that high anyway...as for the boot thing...yes everyone does slam my boot and it does bug me like mad as i you slam it too much then the the paint can get damaged as the stops arent very good... Welshguy Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Annoys me more when people slam my doors! As for the Rear end of the coupe, I was actually look at it yesterday after work...if you couch down to a driver height the back of the car looks really intimidating :) Do I need help ? :) Quote

Bugs the hell outta me! I think this actually sounds worse than it is, as I have numerous discussions with the other half about the need not too swing the boot and to just let it drop. After much falling out she now drops the boot and it still sounds just as bad as taking a full swing at it...of course I havnt told her that   Quote
Welshguy Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Just curious... When your with the other half and park in a car park etc...do you park a little bit to the right of the parking space in order to give the missus more room to open their door if surrounded by cars? I know I do...I can judge the distance between my car door, and the adjacent car's bodywork :) Quote
Rich_Eason Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I park in the end bays as tight as I can away from the adjacent space. I tell her to get out before hand...that way you halve the chance of the car gettibg scratched... damaged... breathed on..... :) However one thing we have both noticed is that the car is a magnet for 4x4 parking next to it. We tend to park it on its own in spaces and walk that extra distance and you can bet your bottom dollar that when you get back you have some Disco or Amazon R-I-G-H-T next to it, even though there are litterally hundreds of other spaces around and the car was parked on its own... That's because they are smart and realise that if a thief comes along, he's far more likely to attempt to steal the "fun" VTS rather than the "dull" 4x4. Thats the exact reason I park next to more "attractive" cars - its in the hope the other car will attract any unwanted attention! :) Quote
bill03 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 And if the car park is on a gradient, always park facing uphill.. :) Quote
Rich_Eason Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Yes another good idea... I popped into B&Q the other day and as I drove into the car park it was like a scene from "Dancing on Ice" with all the shopping trolleys gracefully going along on their own in the wind and seeing them thudding into the parked cars. :) ;) Quote
lee_marshuk Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Nah I let her out before I park...and always pick her up again! Quote
