hertsnminds Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 My 2003 (53) pluriel has now done 5000 miles and so far no leaks despite the torrential rain. However I have paint peel on the bonnet and bumper. Small spots of the top coat have peeled off leaving the undercoat on show all over the bonnet and bumper. Awaiting the dealer assessment but it looks very strange. I have never in 100,s of 1000’s of miles of driving seen this happen. Has any one else had to invoke the paint warrentee? ClareB Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 I had to have whole body panels resprayed because there were lumps in the paintwork, it looked like small bits of grit had got applied with the paint. The paintwork was also unfinished under the bonnet and at the bottom tips of the wheel arches. Quote

Richard Harris [/quote] The dupont paint specilist has viewed my paintwork and concluded that the paint peel has been caused by an external agent (unknown). As a result there is no claim. Citroen suggest I claim onmy insurance. Perhaps I will let the Insurance company talk it through with citroen. On the leaky front - My has now done 11000 and no problems. I find the car a delight and have the roof off as often as possible. I have raised the rust in the roof rack holes question and will see the dealer in a few days to discuss the resolution. in general i find them helpful and positive. having had a series of company cars, several Peugots and fords they are not better/worse than most dealers. Buying a 206 Pug seems a bit radical as far as I understand the Pluriel and the 206 are basically the same mechanically. Peugot and Citroen being the same company of course. Quote
