lee_marshuk Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 126.....before a bend in the racecourse. How inconsiderate! Quote
BigJohnD Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 I was really daring the week end before last - set the cruise control at 85 mph for about three or four miles on a nice stretch of motorway I know that is nearly always quiet, and slightly down hill. Many years ago, when I was a reckless 20 something, I did an indicated 130 mph there in my Fiat 130 Coupé chasing an Audi Quattro, but we ran out of road… Quote

welshys90 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 126.....before a bend in the racecourse. welshys90 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007  160 on a motorbike would b scary stuff in a car its scary enough.! Quote
Rich_Eason Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 A bit off topic but this has created uproar in the local area....some loon on a R6 doing 150mph in a 40limit, it even made local news  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvF2uMK_HFs Interestingly enough the original video has been removed from You Tube, however you can see a small clip of it in the above clip. I dont condone speeding but the media had a field day on this one, including someone in the local paper winging because they had a camera on his bike and got stopped... Quote
Dino Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 thats about flat out book speed (140.6 mph) what was it like  tell us moreYes it was, the catalogue says maximum speed 227 km/hI pushed it up to 225, and I can say that the car performs great!Of course, I didn't maintain this speed for too long, but my average was around 200 I don't do stupid things, I never drive fast in the city. But this was different, it was in Germany on a beautiful day and the traffic wasn't heavy. Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I managed 80mph for a short time on the M11 today in my courtesy C3, took about 3 miles to reach this speed and then I encountered a slight uphill gradient where 80 turned to 70 Quote
wozza Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I feel your pain I had a 1.0 C3 as a courtesy car took bloody ages getting up to speed. Quote
welshys90 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 i can feel your pain guys, dads girlfriend had a C3 while her car was being serviced it only got to 101mph top speed on the way to blackpool :D Quote
lee_marshuk Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I don't drive a 2 litre for nothing!! Well I was going to watch a friend do their CBT at Mallory Park - and I had to drive round the course because of some work going on by the entrance....so I had a bit of a blast!! The playstation driver...bah! Quote
C4VTS Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Are there any computer/console racing games with a C4 yet? Does anyone know? Quote
Safety Engineer Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 132mph on an airfield near me. Quite impressed. Quote
Guest CE05LDB Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I have done 92mph 2 days after I had my C3. My sister have had 105mph in her Saxo and the book said it only does 102mph. When she got 105mph she had a car full aswell. I tread to think what my older sister has done in her Audi TT. My sisters Saxo is bloody nippy for a 1.1i. When going on Holiday to Devon last year I lost her on the M5. Quote
