idlerobbo Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 This caught my attention today: http://tinyurl.com/2tyjef It made me think, what would you spend £1000 on? It's got to be one item and as close to £1000 as possible... oh and C4 related! I honestly cant think what it would be! I guess the tuning would be it - but thats only £325.... hrmmm Navidrive maybe?? what IS the most expensive accessory?? Quote
CoolCarbon Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 The Leather option....which includes heating of the nether regions.... :o Quote
wozza Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 When you say 1 item could that be say a package performance upgrade from someplace that fits it as an all in one bit? Or say get my stereo upgraded as a package that comes to nearly £1000 etc? As that would be my idea. Maybe spend the cash on new cams and fitting etc. Or some nice 18 or 19" OZ SuperT wheels. Quote
hertsnminds Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 what IS the most expensive accessory?? I think for the use you get from them the air freshener refills are the most expensive, 1 - 3 months for £9 The integrated sat navs are all very expensive close to £1,000 for something a hand held unit can do for closer to £300. Some of the younger owners might not get much change from £1,000 for a years insurance. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
wozza Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 £1000 would not insure most of us. my first years insurance was close to the £2k mark. Quote
ham's c4vts Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Ill have a set of oz superleggers or super t's in 18" or maybe 19", or 18" and probably add to it for the angel tuning remap  Quote
Stuey Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 windows tintedlower suspentionremapmudflapskickplates that would be about a grand... Quote
Rich_Eason Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Some "nice" HUGE chrome spinners that rub the wheel arches when I go round roundabouts and sharp turns. In all seriousness, I'm happy with my VTS and wouldnt want to change it. I'll keep the cash  Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Save it for servicing, my 50k service came in at £650+VAT Quote
ham's c4vts Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 for the C4? :P what was done?????? Quote
Welshguy Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I'd put it towards either half of an engine (Turbo) conversion, or a full leather re-trim... Hmmm....I can almost smell the cows now... Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 for the C4? :P what was done?????? Don't get the invoice so not entirely sure, but did include new discs and pads, wheel balance and wiper blades. Other than that who knows Quote
xavtia Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I swapped my xsara just before its last service having been quoted £575 for the service, given that it had 59k and the clutch so it doesnt suprise me Quote
