Guest Chippy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Couple of questions Can the headlights be ajusted manually. Mine are just a bit low on dipped.I know I can adjust for weight in the boot but I need to adjust a feww more metres on dipped. Can you replace the glass in the door mirrors with heated mirrors. Is the wiring in the mirror already? Cheers Quote
Rich_Eason Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Hi Chippy Which lights are we talking about the Halogen Standard Bulb ones or the HID ones? I doubt you can do anything with them without a proper beam alignment tool as used in MOT stations, unless you want to hapily drive around at night and wonder why all the vehicles coming the other way are diving into the nearest ditch through blinidness. :D Stick the car up against a wall with your lights on and set your height adjusters whilst watching the beam go up and down. Make sure both lights do this at the same time to check that one light unit isnt stuck. If it is get it to a dealer. If its the HID lamps you got, get it to a dealer and get them to have a look at them. Daft question... :P Have you made sure your lenses are clean as road salt can make a big difference to the lighting performance? Other than that get some of them Super Fangdangled Bright bulbs.... I've just got the Halogen Standard Bulbs fitted.I will try the tip with the wall and then take it to Main agent to check. Well that's what they are there for I guess. Dirty lenses.... I don't even take it out in the rain!!! How could they get dirty. Does anybody do that to their C4? What about my heated mirrors???Any info? Chippy Quote
Rich_Eason Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 There is a "Dirty C4" thread and judging by the states that are on there people do infact get their cars grubby. Mine at the moment is disgusting. The mirrors I would imagine are heated by an element built into the glass mouting surround and then "pluged in" when fitted to the car. Have them fitted to both this one and previous car but never had "thankfully" the miss fortune to have to replace them. Quote
wozza Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Always that thought was weird not having heated glass in the lower models. Even my base model Clio had heated mirrors. The only other luxury it has was electric windows. Quote
skaramanga Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Yes with all the features my vtr+ has, it is strange not to have heated mirrors. I have missed them a few mornings lately. Quote
