Guest rs6express Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 I've owned my 2004 2.2 hdi sx for almost 3 years now. It has VIP pack and sat nav as extra. I'll will be thinking about trade in soon. I was just wondering how you found your dealers standards during ownership. I know at the end of the day the car is a Citroen and it has had endless faults but I can't get away from the fact that it's a good car with a great engine and has served our family very well. The only thing that is stopping me from trading the car in with my dealer is purley down to the poor quality of the service dept and the bodyshop. It's a shame as they have really let the whole ownership experience down. I'm willing to put up eith the car going in for the warranty work but when you get no reply or no returned calls or jobs half done due to breakdown in communications between departments it all becomes very frustrating. My dealer is in Aberdeen and I'd rate them 2/10... In otherwords Sh*t Quote
citroeneddie Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Is the dealer part of a big chain? Can anyone recommend a good independent in the area? Quote

If you live in the NE of scotland a lot of people are happier to go to other citroen dealers outwith this dealer network for service and warrenty work. Quote

hertsnminds Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 My dealer is in Aberdeen Not sure how far you are prepared to travel for good service. I use Belmont (in Edinburgh) they seem to be OK. The nearest branch they have to Aberdeen is Dundee. I suppose you could give them a try to see if they are worth the 130 mile round trip. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote
jeremytaylor Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I know what you mean about the car being hard to replace. Our 2.0 HDI Auto Exclusive is 3.5 years old now and even a C4 Picasso doesn't fit the bill through the lack of sliding doors. If we do replace, it would probably be another C8! Fortunately our dealer is OK - certainly better than some Merc dealers I have used before. But then they are in Woking, not exactly handy for Scotland! Quote
