I have a 2002 1.4LX Xsara & the ratchet mechanism is faulty on the drivers seat.

Neading to replace the seat, just wondering if anyone has done this & if it is a straight forward

job or if there are any pitfalls to watch out for. Any info would be appreciated.

do you mean the handle has come loose on the side of the seat and the seat is moving around. if yes then just remove the trim around the handle and you will see the screws have come out of the handle fixture. refit with 2x self tappers. if its the runners these can be bought sepratley. ope this helps.

Ok cheers mate. The handle appears to be secure but the back of the seat is still loose. When you lean on it it goes away back. I will try removing the trim to see if the handle has come loose though.
