Z3M Roadster Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Not bad going, managed to do almost 57k with no damage, other than hitting a pheasant. Drove into the Morrisons multi-storey carpark which my company rents the top floor of. Was sitting in a queue on the ground floor minding my own business when I spot the R reg e-class to my right reversing, sounded the horn but the egit was oblivious to it and drove straight into my offside wing, bent it all the way in and scratched the wheel and bumper too. The wing popped itself out but looks fairly scratched and the car makes a strange sound when reversing. The chap who I presume was a bus driver as he was wearing an "arriva" fleece kindly told me it'd polish out! I asked for insurance details and ID, conveniently neither of which he had so took numerous photos of him and his car. I'm hunching that he is one of the many uninsured drivers in Wood Green, fortunately the car will be repaired regardless and won't cost me a thing. Do people not look behind them these days when reversing....apparently not. More worryingly how can he be responsible for driving a bus?!! Quote
wozza Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Sounds bad mate. Did the same thing when the guy went into me beeped the horn and he drove straight forward into me. Which is even worse apparently I was in his blind spot....directly in front of his truck. The wing will just need sanding down and respraying. They dont bother replacing them did not with mine anyway cause its all plastic. Quote
Welshguy Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Sorry to hear m8. Your not having much luck recently are you ? Quote
Z3M Roadster Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 Booked into the bodyshop on Wednesday. Looking forward to getting my courtesy Nissan Micra or similarly exciting car. Quote
C4VTS Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Booked into the bodyshop on Wednesday. Looking forward to getting my courtesy Nissan Micra or similarly exciting car. Just love courtesy cars from bodyshops..... not!! Some years ago I had a Hyundai or some other Korean courtesy car when my Audi A4 had a minor mishap. If you think Citroens rattle, then you have heard nothing until you get a Korean car. :D Must have been the biggest heap of krap I have ever driven. Quote
wozza Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Depends on the model I think. Been in a hyundai coupe and there not bad to be fair. Just dont think much of the engines in them. 2.7 litre developing 170bhp just seems a bit naff. Quote
bill03 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I owned a Hyundai Getz for couple of years. Not one rattle, never let me down and never into garage for ANY warranty work for the two years I owned it. Quote

Not one rattle, never let me down and never into garage for ANY warranty work for the two years I owned it. Jeez I would have to disagree with this. While on holiday in Spain I had rented a Seat and it got a flat tyre wnd they 'upgraded' me to a Hyundai Getz... I didn't quite understand how that worked. It was like driving a go kart. ohhhhhhh a 1.1 enging you say? WOW that is going to get me up that huge mountain with 3 passengers isnt it! It seemed plastic, nasty and rattly! Maybe its the Spanish version though and yours was a one off or something! Quote

bill03 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 It's a "Satisfaction" survey. So they are all satisified with their rattles then? Don't think so.. Quote

Stuey Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 hopefully Citroen should start climbing back up that survey when the C4 reaches 3 years old so is eligable... Quote
