Welshguy Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Link They can't be serious! I noticed a TV ad the other night with one of the Kia range being offered with a 7 year warrenty - now that is impressive. As a company in order to offer that I'd have to make damn sure quality control was upto stratch..just a shame I dont like their cars! :D Quote

hertsnminds Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Impressive on paper, but how much hassling do you have to do get a repair done under warranty? And 7 years on a ragtop...I bet wear and tear wins before a warranty replaced roof.http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpr...2/kia_ceed.html Ian Black 55 VTR+ Quote
Stuey Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I was always under the impression that Auto Express knew nothing about cars...that proves my theory...7 year warrantee is good but how long before they start getting picky over what constitues what is covered?? Quote
iannez Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 the garage where i work took on kia aswell as citroen last year. not bad cars. if you removed badges you would swear they were toyota. the 4x4s are realy nice but the smaller ones are about as nice looking as a baboons arse. new ceed's not bad. thats the one with 7 yr warrenty. we sell quite a few and have very few probs with them unlike citroens but then again there about 10yrs behind citroen. they have just started with multiplexing and when you think citroen had it on xm's (about 95 i think) Quote
billynibbles Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 I guess it all comes down to what you look for in a car. Yes, a 7-year warranty is nice, but if the consequence of buying one is driving around in something that looks like 'last year's' Honda Civic 5-door, which never did turn many heads except in the Type-R format, then I'll stick to something quirkier like my VTS, even if it's not exactly been the most reliable car I ever bought. The Kia Cee'd would probably appeal to those people who believe you can never go wrong 'dressed in a nice grey'. I look forward to overtaking a few Trilby-hatted Cee'd owners, no doubt to break down and have them pass me two hours later! Quote
