Safety Engineer Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 As of next friday, I finish with my current employer and go onto greener pastures, so the C4 goes back, after 21,000 miles have been very impressed with it, given that it's a new car platform It hasn't had as many problems as some well established cars I've had the misfortune to own. My new employer runs Skoda Octavias. Cue Skoda jokes.... Quote
Rich_Eason Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Perhaps a bit unfair....but necessary :P What's the difference between a Skoda and tickets for an Oasis concert? Oasis tickets go fast! Why do skodas have a rear wash wipe ?........To remove the flies that crash into them. How do you double the value of a skoda?Chuck a penny into it. How do you double the value of a Skoda ?Fill the tank ! What do yuo call a classic skoda ????A Lada. Ive just bought the new 16 valve Skoda .......4 in the engine, 12 in the radio! Wanna new petol cap for a skoda? No thought not, not a good swop. What do you call a skoda with twin exhust pipes?A wheelbarrow. What is the difference between a Skoda and the flu ?You can get rid of the flu ! Why do Skoda's have a heated rear window? To keep your hands warm, while you push it. So does that mean then that you are no longer going to contribute to the forum? Who is going to wear the golden anorak now? Good luck in your new job :) Quote
Stuey Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 where do you find the dipstick on a Skoda?? Behind the steering wheel :P All the best in your new job mate, I hope you will stay on this forum though. The Skoda ones are always broke...do you see what I did there?!? not bad for half 8 in the morning... Quote
ham's c4vts Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Joking aside, Skoda do make some nice cars, Octavia VRS and Fabia VRS,nearly had a Fabia VRS before buying C4VTS, it was to small(boot wise) though. Quote
Stuey Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 yeah Skuds arnt bad nowadays. The octavia VRS is a good car, we had one on our company fleet. it has now been replaced with an Impreza WRX... Quote
Safety Engineer Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 I shall still be here and about, have at least one Citroen in the family, convinced father to buy a Xsara 2.0HDi estate in jan, he was looking for a cheap estate and that's what he got Y reg, 25K on the clock and the full Citroen used warranty, he's a happy bunny with it. I pick up my new car (I say new is the dealers demo car with only a few thousand on the clock) (had a choice of a brand new Ambiente spec or this as an Elegance) on Monday, had a test drive and very nice quiet and smooth - not as revvy as the C4 2.0 diesel, 1.9 105hp diesel but can be adjusted by Skoda to 130hp so nearly there. But the boot is bloody huge compared to the C4, plenty of space for the gear. :P :D :D Quote
