Just bought a 2000 Xsara HDi LX. its got a tape deck at the mo but I've got a sony CD player I want to put in it.

I've sorted out the necessary cables to enable the use of steering wheel controls, but I'm can't find a fascia to fit - neither of the autoleads ones seems suitable.

Anybody know where I can get one?

Cheers in advance!

if i remember you cant get one as it is a largeish peice of trim(clock and radio suround). the radio is a standard size, so youll have no problems fitting it.

the only thing is that the facia panel is bowed above and below the radio and that is bowed too, and most radios if not all are flat.

i fitted a sony mini disc headunit and cd mp3 multichanger in mine.

Thanks for the replies!

The hole in the current fascia panel is the right width, but its too high (deep?) so there is a big gap at the top/bottom - about 5mm.

If I can't find a suitable panel, I'll have to look for an OEM CD player - the wife is going mad with no meatloaf CDs!!

Or we could go the MP£ route and get an itrip!!

Do not recommend the Itrip. FM modulators generally are crap and they dont do too well in cities due to interference etc.

Just results in loss of sound quality and a bad signal not the best thing when you have spent a fair chunk of cash. Ask most of the local car audio places that will sell them and I bet half of them would advise you against buying them due to how badly they perform.

i got some plastic card from a model shop, made a master in card the copied it to the plastic card, sprayed it black and stuck it at the bottom of the slot where head unit goes and the made it look a lot neater.
