Do like that model Cupra lot more than the new one. Looked at one with my mate great cars and engine is easily tuned to silly levels and just about bullet proof.

Not sure why it is your attacking C4's or me in fact. But whatever feel free As long as it makes you happier about driving your C1. Do whatever pleases you.

But keep in mind my C4 has been rattle free and nothing has fallen off it.

Enjoy your C1 while I continue to enjoy my C4.

Just keep in mine there are very few people with problems on there C4 compared to how many are extremely happy with theres. You only need to check the main C4owners.co.uk forum to see that. Where people have actually posted about how great the car is.

According to whatcar refinement and build on the C4 scores higher than all the Japanese rivals... isn't that interesting. 4car also happen to notice the same thing. As did a couple others in the motoring press. Maybe there all wrong or maybe you need to stop get over yourself and actually realise the C4 is a fairly good car.

Maybe you should stop stereotyping French cars as being ***oops***. As I have owned a few Japanese cars in the past and im going to say my C4 is better built than my last Nissan Almera.

to many stereo types mate. look at a td foucus in comparison. price for price you get way more on a c4 and the focus uses the same engine so is no more reliable. i bought the leon because i have a family (its a lot more practicle than a tt but has the same power and imprezza's look like something out of 2 fast 2 furious). look behind the leon and you will see my trusty 1.9td zx that has done 180,000 miles, starts first turn of the key, sits at 90 no probs and still does 55mpg. use it every day for work (40mile round trip). the other car that you can just say see is a 51 reg saxo vtr that my other half uses for work. cupras a week end car and the other 2 are used every day as if something goes wrong with them they would cost me next to nothing to fix as i work for citroen and the parts are so cheap anyway. just add that nether of these cars have gone wrong in the time i have had them. i am sorry but if you own a c1 you do not have the right to put down a c4 or any car for that matter. there in a different league mate. if you like jap cars you could always move up to a nissan micra when you get sick of that brain buzzing exhaust rasp.

I didn't mean to offend. Just if you look at the JD Power survey, what actual owners think of their cars, rather than some Magazine guy who sits behind a desk then the facts are reversed. Citroen have dropped even further down the table as the years have gone on. Pugs are no better. I like my C1 as Citroen have only had to fix in the lights and thats the only problem that has arisen so far. Imagine what car it would have been if Citroen built the whole thing!!!!!!

Focus or a C4, the Focus does look a lot better don't you think? Guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My C1 is just to get me to work and back, its no looker I agree. Didn't people from the C4 start the argument first after they had the C1 as a curtosey car?

I said I had one as a Courtesy car and it was rubbish. Which the 1st one I drove was. The 2nd one I drove I also pointed out that it was better than the first I drove. My main issue though is with the seat / driving position. I'm a big guy and its just not meant for big people and I had specifically mentioned to them I needed a car suitable for carrying a wheelchair and they had promised to give me a Picasso courtesy car. Instead I got a 1.0 C1...I was fairly annoyed fault of the dealers really. Why I dont use that dealer no more.

And the Focus is a better looking car than the C4...

I picked the C4 because as many people say its probably the best looking car in the class. The new Focus I personally think is a downgrade from the old one in terms of Aesthetics. Its just ordinary and dull. And the ST just tacks on a few bits of Chrome plastic and some bright paint and it just doesn't do it for me. I just prefer the C4.

The funny this about the JD power thing is if you read the reviews those who like the car give it 5 stars for pretty much everything. Those with problems give it 1 or 2 stars.

I would say drive one yourself before you put them down. But a lot of the bad reviews I saw seem to be based on early 04 - 05 models. And well they were getting upset about having to have things sorted under warranty. I bet they would not have complained if they had a BMW with teething issues. New cars has problems that need to be ironed out. Hence why you normally get a face lift a couple years later with new parts and cars where most of the kinks have been worked out.

I can say though mine has been relatively great. Its rattle free, and is very comfortable to drive. The only issue was the clutch dying before 10k miles which was due to a manufacturing defect was replaced and the car has been fine since. Even better now with coming up to 17k on the clock engine has loosened up nicely and it pulls rather well for a little 1.6.

I'm fairly happy with it in the 2 years I have had it. The only rattle I got which I fixed myself was because some little chav scrote put my back window in and glass got stuck in the boot. Thought I had got it all and missed a few bits. Still no fault of the cars the rattle...just some little ***oops*** who needs castrating.

I'm fairly sure a BMW driver would complain even louder as they don't expect it as much. Ever driven a 3 series, lovely, totally different class. To be fair I have only ever heard Citroen horror stories and could never understand how they have managed to stay in business although its been a close call if you look at their history. If your happy with your C4 then that's what matters. I think the C1 at £5,800 is fantastic value for money. If you compare it to a Fiesta then its not but the Fiesta I looked at was £9,500, massive difference. I only opted for the C1 because the price, it drove well and it was made by Toyota otherwise I wouldn't have gone near it. The C2 looks better but it too has bits drop off it......

For me, reliablity is everything!!!!!!
