hertsnminds Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Do any of the other odometer readings change, trip distance or total car distance? Sounds like a software glitch. IanBlack 55 VTR+ Quote

citroeneddie Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 The computer has probably stored the date from the last service and is counting down irrespective of mileage. My Picasso had only done 5500 miles after 1 year and was telling me to arrange service. Quote
iannez Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 its a software bug and needs an update to sort it. the spanner will come on at 12,400 or after 12 months whichever comes first. Quote
Guest Ben Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 its a software bug and needs an update to sort it. the spanner will come on at 12,400 or after 12 months whichever comes first. Just noticed Ive got the smae problem - suddenly shows -50 miles and spanner is lit (used to show over 10K miles last week!). Maybe co-incidence but I used the "dark" button to switch off the Navidrive RT3 unit last night (and the whole front disiplay went off - ie all the mileages, fuel level and everything - it just showed the speed. I pressed the "dark" button again and it all came back on. Wonder if this is connected to the problem - as Im sure when I first did this months ago it didnt happen! - And its been in for various fixes (see other posts) since. :/ Quote
myke Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 As far as I know service goes not only on mileage but also on time so if you are not doing enough miles it will automatically reduce the miles indicator. Therefore of you are not averaging enough miles, 10,0000, within a year it will automatically count down as a percentage every day or whatever. This one got me until I realised what was happening because I originally thought there was no way I was doing the miles that it indicated. Quote
