Having read all the various tales of woe regarding the roof, what struck me was that most people are relying on a dealer to sort out their issues, presumably because of the newness of the affected cars. The following may be of help to those out of warranty:

On my recent acquistion, I wasn't especially happy about the fit of the rear screen and its ability to operate the microswitches reliably. Also the relocation of the screen to the roof after roatating from the boot.

Now I've had convertibles before and the frame machanisms are usually have substantial, but adjustable mounting plates. The Pluriel is no exception, with plates located under the black covers in the boot.

The plates do have plenty of adjustment, though most of it is not usable, as I found that the whole affair had to be pushed as far down and back as possible for an acceptable screen to roof fit. A word of warning here- the cassette movement is controlled by 2 gas struts, which must have been compressed a couple of centimeters before fitting. These are powerful and cannot be compressed by hand, so do not pop the accessible end off unless you are prepared! A steel bar about 18" long with 2 pins or bolts fitted will be needed to locate in 2 holes in the plate to give the necessary leverage to adjust against the strut pressure.

Whilst the cover is off, the solenoids on each side that release the screen from its frame can easily be operated by hand. This means that each side can have its microswitch operating lever adjusted slightly by loosening the 2 screws holding the black plate to the screen edge. The levers are operated by a car door lock type action and there must be sufficent movent of the black plate to trigger the over-centre movement of the lever. If you have to slam your screen, this is the adjustment required.

So if you fancy having a go, I hope this may help
