c4coupe1 Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Does anyone know where I could source some Technical Manuals for the C4, either in hardcopy or electronic? Similarly, are there any technical manuals in existence for the 1.6HDi engine? Haynes seem to be quite a way behind all the current models, and I can't seem to find anything related to the C4 anywhere or the HDi engine. I would like to be able to do basic things myself such as remove trim to fix rattles, locate various components, perform oil changes etc etc. The old Haynes manuals were invaluable when I had my BX!! I would like to be able to do basic things myself such as remove trim to fix rattles, locate various components, perform oil changes etc etc. The old Haynes manuals were invaluable when I had my BX!! I've recently registered with the Citroen parts gateway. The website used to be call citroen-pr.net it's now http://service.citroen.com/.If you register with them you can access their Technical section, for a small fee (Euros) based on an hourly/daily/weekly rate, and the C4 is on there! You can look for spares by location, search, etc. There's also an online manual with loads of info (All the info the Citroen Techs use); changing brakes, oil changes, capacities, torque settings, removal and stripping of engines. The list goes on.....Just put in your VIN no. and away you go! You will need to download/purchase a program called IsoView...they've made it a requirement to view all diagrams. You can download it for a 60 Day evaluation period. However.... Diagrams can be saved to file and viewed by photoshop, etc. And you can save the text instructions to HTML and then cut and pasted to powerpoint. So you could, if you wanted, make yourself a manual of the more common tasks. At least until Haynes has sufficient interest to warrant the production of a Manual. Quote
wozza Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 If its a 1.6 diesel you have the same engine is in the ford focus. As for removing trim the C4 comes apart really easily and you will find a fair few of us have had the interior to bits if you need a hand with anything. Guides for changing brakes over on the other forum as well. And couple other guides for various things. Quote
C4VTS Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 There is plenty of free circuit diagrams and technical details for the Peugeot 307 if you do a google search. The 307 is very similar to the C4. Quote
C4VTS Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 If you register with them you can access their Technical section, for a small fee I would not call 48 euros +VAT per week a small fee. Quote
c4coupe1 Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 Thanks guys! I think I'll register for a day, and just save a load of stuff on my PC! Quote
