Ceggy Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Im a bit of a noob with cars, my forte lies elsewhere unfortunately. I know how to make them look good and read reviews on the Internet thas' about it! So I was wondering how easy it is to give the C2 a full oil change and what oil is best to use? From experience I know that oil can make a wealth of difference in how the car starts and drives, so I am asking for opinions and experiences. I have had a Fiat HGT for the last year so I have been buying synthetic performance oil. Any comments would be appreciated, thanks. Quote
pork_pie Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Is your car Petrol or Diesel? Either way Semi synthetic oil is used. Ring the Citroen dealer and they will recommend Total 7000 semi synthetic oil. Yes changing oil between service intervals can bring benefits. But in these days of improved oils (better than mineral oil), I am not sure it makes too much of a difference...... Good on you for sticking to this regime. Quote
Ceggy Posted September 25, 2004 Author Posted September 25, 2004 It's a petrol. I do it halfway between servicings usually and this is because I have noticed a big difference in previous performance cars I have owned. Well, it's not big really, but any improvement is a big one when we are talking about our babies. Quote
shakey Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 the oil to use, is Total 10w40 Semi synthetic, when refilling you need to use 3.2 litres of this oil if its a petrol engine. Quote
